Om bara några veckor lanseras Ocotomore 7.2 vid Cinderella Whisky Fair. Med ett PPM på 208 och delvis lagring på Syrah fat ger Octomore 7.2 en ny rökupplevelse. Jim McEwan beskriver så här: - “Enigmatic and defiant. The nose begins with golden syrup and red berry fruits with smoke weaving through poached pear and apple pie from the distillation. As you inhale deeper, delicate floral notes of heather, lilies and orange blossom are released, unclouded by the smoke.” The whisky is bottled at the distillery at 58.5% without chill filtration, which is one of the factors influencing the extraordinary mouth feel. Jim McEwan describes the palate as: “Huge amounts of peat sitting in perfect balance with the flavours released from the cask. Add a drop of two of water and experience cherry, bramble, strawberry from the Syrah casks, cinder toffee, brown sugar, honey and crème brulee.”
